Vintage 1950s Flush Mount Ceiling Light Fixture with Scalloped Fitter Base
$ 149.99
Flush mount light fixtures were popular in postwar housing design because of their ability to deliver ambient light while staying unobtrusive in their appearance. It's a good thing, too, because ceiling heights became more standardized and, more often than not, lower in height due to the high demand post-war housing boom. While mid-century flush mount light fixtures fell out of favor in the 1970s and 1980s, they have recently made a comeback as part of the retro and vintage design trends.
The etched ceiling light features a new porcelain socket wire etc. The fixture has been cleaned and detailed and is ready to install for your convenience.
Measurements: The fixture measures 4 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide.
Condition: The fixture features a new porcelain socket, wires, wire sheathing, mounting bracket, thumb nuts, and a lacquered finish. The shade is in good vintage condition. The fixture pan is showing its antiquity with age spots and some tarnishing.
Electrical: The fixture uses a standard medium base socket. Use a 60-watt bulb. Bulb not included. Suitable for dry locations.
